Bakers, preheat your ovens. CupcakeCamp is rising from the muffin tins to bring the downtown Phoenix community together. The frosted affair invites bakers and sweet fiends alike mix, mingle, and maybe even make a few business connections over miniature cake confections. Campers are invited to contribute a dozen or more cupcakes of their choice to the event. Whether your favorite cupcakes are sweet or savory, vegan or gluten-free, classic or contemporary — or, heck, simply store bought, all cupcakes will be welcomed and wolfed down. CupcakeCamp runs from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, at CO+HOOTS, 1027 East Washington Street. Admission is free, but donations to the CO+HOOTS Foundation are encouraged.
