A friend recently flew to Chicago for a family function. It was a brisk 11 degrees when she touched down at O’Hare. When she returned to Sky Harbor a couple days later, the temp was 88. Perhaps that – and the fact that both of the Windy City’s ball teams, the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Cubs, winter here for Cactus League – is why everyone you meet on the street nowadays talks like dis.

And almost all of ’em will be tryin’ to get troo da heavy traffic on Saturday, March 21, to see Da Cubs play Da Sox at da latter’s spanking-new Camelback Ranch Stadium. The marquee C-League match-up starts at 1:05 p.m.
