Leave it to Kanye West to make amazing professional dancers mere scenery for his artistic efforts. CONDER/dance does right by the dance world and brings dancers front and center with their fourth annual dance and film festival called Breaking Ground 2010.
Formed in 2003, CONDER/dance is the brainchild of Arizona native Carley Conder. The innovative company tightly curated this year’s festival to present an impressive roster of works by choreographers and filmmakers. We’re particularly excited to get a first look at “Crowd Source Choreography,” a collaborative work between dancers, local musical genius Robin Vining, lighting designer Daniel Davidson and live text messages from audience members projected on stage.
