Sparkly vampires, loveable werewolves, and Casper the Friendly Ghost may have softened the image of movie monsters, but zombies still maintain a special place in the horror canon. Although they aren’t the least bit cuddly (and only seem to want your for your brains), we’re betting there will be a few adorable members of the undead staggering around at the Zombieland dance party on Saturday, July 9.
Cutesy-pie raver kids and other creatures of the night will dress in their gravest fashions as DJs 2ToneDisco, Schwasted, Grem, and Enzyme spin up a storm. A zombie costume contest is also planned, and in a nod to the comedy-horror flick that inspired the event, deep fried Twinkies will be served.
Doors open at 9 p.m. at a secret location. Admission is $15 (with $5 off for those in costume). Call 602-341-EVIL on the night of the event for directions.
