Some racers are gonna be running like the wind, while others might just sit still and lick their junk. Although there’s no telling what the pint-sized participants in this year’s edition of Chandler’s annual chihuahua races will wind up doing on the race course during Saturday’s competition, we’re absolutely certain it will be fun to watch. More than 100 doggies will participate and the winners (and their owners) will take home cash prizes. The races take place in the midst of a vibrant Cinco celebration that will offer mariachi music, folkloric dancing, and the crowning of a king and queen chihuahua. The festival starts at 10 a.m. and the competition commences at 2 p.m. Admission is free, participation in the races and pageant is $10-$25 per pup.
