Sorry, but you can no longer mutter Podunk when talking about the Downtown Chandler Art Walk.
(Well, we guess you could, but that wouldn’t exactly be the truth.)
In the past year or so, the modest gallery stroll, which takes place during the Third Friday of every month, has significantly grown, both in artists and attendees. Plus, the quality of art is most definitely better these days.
Tonight’s event, scheduled to take place from 6 to 10 p.m., will feature 42 exhibiting artists along the San Marcos Place and Dr. A.J. Chandler Park areas as well as displays inside of the galleries located near Arizona Avenue and Boston Street. Other special thingies going on tonight include live music, an artist-of-the-month showcase, and an “Art From the Heart” non-profit partnership.
