$10,000

One new idea for every day in 2011. We’re talking big, small, local,
international, in action and on the drawing board. Here’s today’s —
what’s yours?

Black magic markers aren’t hard to find at Allister Lee‘s studio.

The Canadian illustrator has more than 600, and he’s in the process of sketching each one (with marker, of course).

He doesn’t collect them — rather, he uses them while creating commercial art for shoe and clothing companies including adidas, Nike, and Mishka.

He owns and operates Studio B.I.B. (“Black Is Beautiful”) in Toronto, and writes that when he gets to 1,000 markers, he’ll submit to the Guiness Book of World Records.
