Sorry to take the wind of of your sails, but, instead of maps to buried treasure, these large-scale works by artist David Maisel look at landscapes of the American West with an eye toward environmental concerns and sustainability issues.

See the 28 seemingly-psychedelic pigment prints at 7374 East Second Street, through Sunday, September 1. No spyglass needed. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students. Call 480-874-4666 or see www.smoca.org.

Thursdays-Saturdays, 12-9 p.m.; Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Sundays, 12-5 p.m. Starts: June 1. Continues through Sept. 1, 2013
