Independent Journalism in Phoenix Needs You

We need to raise $15,000 by August 9 to support the reporting our community depends on. Reader support keeps us independent and is playing a larger role in funding local journalism and shaping what comes next. If you believe independent local journalism matters, make a contribution today.

$15,000

Forget the tall tales and tall orders. Cartwright’s is serving up meals that make it happen and stories that actually did happen with its fourth annual Arizona History Dinner series. Speakers in this year’s series include Marshall Trimble, Bob “Boze” Bell, Wyatt Earp, Dolan Ellis, Robin Sewell, and Lance Polingyouma. Each history presentation will be accompanied by a no-host cocktail hour and themed, three-course dinners prepared by executive chef Montez Crane and pastry chef Amanda Crick.

Cartwright’s Arizona History Dinner series happens every other Wednesday from May 28 through October 29 at Cartwright’s Sonoran Ranch House, 6710 East Cave Creek Road, Cave Creek. Cocktail hour kicks off at 5 p.m. Dinner follows at 6, and a history discussion and presentation starts at 7. Admission is $55 per person plus sales tax and 18 percent gratuity. For details and to make a reservation, visit www.cartwrightssonoranranchhouse.com or call 480-488-8031.

Every other Wednesday, 5 p.m. Starts: May 14. Continues through Oct. 31, 2014
