Cooper’s Art Gallery and Brokerage, which represents both heavy-hitting artists as well as some up and comers, will soon have a presence at el Pedregal.
The 5,300-square-foot venue, which will showcase the work of more than 60 artists, will be a “visual surprise,” according to owner Patricia Cooper Wesley.
The space plans to display and sell a bunch of museum-quality paintings, hand-forged steel works, ceramics, and more. Familiar names include Fritz Scholder, Earl Biss, Tony Abeyta, and C.J. Wells.
In other words, the space – which, says Wesley, was founded to serve the secondary art market, represent established artists, and promote rising artists – will add to el Pedregal’s boutique-centric desert chic when it grand opens on March 3 from 4 to 9 p.m.
Several creative types, such as Manny Valenzuela, Stan Natchez, Jacobo De La Serna, and Laurie Tyler, will be in the house during the shebang for artist talks.
Cooper’s is located at 34505 North Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale. Admission is free. Call 480-575-6742 or go to www.coopersartbrokerage.com.
