Mosey south of Thomas Road and west of Seventh Avenue you may notice something unusual happens: The houses suddenly become breathtakingly beautiful. That’s because you’ve entered the Encanto-Palmcroft historic neighborhood. But there’s more to this area than just being really, really, ridiculously good looking. And you can plan on finding that out during the Encanto-Palmcroft Home Tour and Street Fair on Sunday, March 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. After parking at Phoenix College, 1202 West Thomas Road, grab your ticket ($18 in advance, $20 day of), and prepare to learn the history of the homes, details about the architectural style, and maybe even some stories about people who lived there.
