Calendar shmalendar. To the theme-loving folks at Salt River Tubing it doesn’t matter if it’s the middle of March or the backside of August — there’s always a good excuse to throw down some Mardi Gras Magic. At this faux Fat Tuesday event, river-goers can soak up the sun, score some free beads (no flashing necessary), and even win free tubing passes for the best Mardi Gras costume.
With Salt River Tubing closing for the season on Sunday, September 29, time is running out to take advantage of these themed river events. Mardi Gras Magic happens from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, August 24, at 9200 North Bush Highway in Mesa.
