Independent Journalism in Phoenix Needs You
We need to raise $15,000 by August 9 to support the reporting our community depends on. Reader support keeps us independent and is playing a larger role in funding local journalism and shaping what comes next. If you believe independent local journalism matters, make a contribution today.
When the topic of dancing comes up, most people think of clubs, weddings, or prom. But if you’re blessed with two left feet, then the only kind of dancing you look forward to is the kind you can observe and applaud.
Regardless of your skills, you’ll have the chance to cheer on some local dance talent when Dulce Dance Company and The Ice House present Para Tus Ojos (“For Your Eyes”), a multi-media event focused on the visual aspects of dancing. Pre-show entertainment begins at 7:15 p.m. in the cathedral and column rooms and includes live music and a George Johnson fashion show. Dulce’s main event at 8 p.m. features a contemporary dance performance in the silver room by the company’s choreographers, along with Whitney Waugh and Pamela Pietro, who’s visiting from New York City.
