$10,000

Sad face! We missed ASU’s biannual Ceram-A-Rama in January, a four-day progressive gala and fundraiser that, for aficionados of 20th-century and contemporary ceramic art, is the equivalent of a party bus to Burning Man, Model U.N., Storage Wars, and a Vegas buffet. But we’ll be consoled by the Ceramics Research Center’s “10 for 10 x2: 10th Anniversary New Acquisitions” exhibition, and we have through Saturday, August 4, to catch it.

The CRC’s 3,500-piece collection has been 45 years in the making, and it’s currently celebrating its 10th anniversary on display in an open storage facility on the northeast corner of Mill Avenue and 10th Street in Tempe. In honor of the birthday bash, several artists and collectors donated significant works to the permanent collection for the free show.

Tuesdays-Saturdays, 11 a.m. Starts: April 7. Continues through Aug. 4, 2012
