Keep Phoenix New Times Free
We’re aiming to raise $10,000 by April 26. Your support ensures New Times can continue watching out for you and our community. No paywall. Always accessible. Daily online and weekly in print.
We all have friends who treat their pets like a part of the family. We live in a world of pet spas and doggie bakeries and, now, the Arizona Diamondbacks even dedicate a game to man’s best friend. The team invites you to bring the pup into the snake pit for a day when going to the park won’t mean heading to that sad patch of grass down the street.
The D-Backs will close out their three-game series against the San Diego Padres with the annual Bark in the Park event on Sunday, August 26. Bring the family pooch to the big show at Chase Field to participate in the pre-game festivities, including a puppy rally and parade at the Seventh Street bridge. Those wishing to participate must arrive and register by 11: 30 a.m.
