The 2014 college football season marks the first time that a playoff system will determine a national champion. In lieu of computers, a committee of actual humans will select four teams to duke it out for the title. Yes, Condoleezza Rice is on that committee. The changes brought on by the system are complicated, and suffice it to say that they affect other bowl games, including the Fiesta Bowl, and probably not for the better. Still, this year’s game features our neighbors to the South, the Wildcats, which might make for some dicey festivities this year. Keep it classy, Sun Devils fans. The Fiesta Bowl Parade rolls through Central Phoenix on Saturday, December 27, starting at 11 am. Reserved seating starts at $10. Visit www.fiestabowl.org or call 480-350-0900.
