What happens when you put five frontmen from prominent bands on the same bill? You get Where’s the Band? Seeing so many chiefs without any Indians might leave the audience wondering: Who needs a band? Either way, solo performances from Matt Pryor of The Get Up Kids, Chris Conley from Saves the Day, and three other indie-pop heavy hitters is enough to tantalize even the most jaded of aging hipsters clinging to a twee of nostalgia.
Extemporaneous collaborations, exorbitant amounts of self-deprecating banter, and a throng of spasmodic devotees segregating stage-side for each respective serenader should make for a highly entertaining evening, even if you didn’t come of age listening to bands who seemed just as insecure as you were.

Will you step up to support New Times this year?
At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $15,500 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
