$10,000

Drag isn’t just about getting all dolled up and tucking away unmentionables — though a fierce lip sync ability and throwing some shade at the audience do make a performance memorable. Cover charges don’t always go toward wigs and eyelash extensions. Plenty of queens use their position as entertainers to raise money for charity.

Great things happen when queens come together, so Miss Vanilla de Lishus will take to the stage on Saturday, September 8, with support from The Grand Canyon Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, The Imperial Sovereign Empire of Arizona, Princess Royale VII, Ivanna Douchealotte, and Miss Lady Sapphire, and many other friends to raise money for Aunt Rita’s AIDS Walk. The walk aims to raise over $500,000, and this dragtacular event is here to help.

Sat., Sept. 8, 9 p.m., 2012
