Through the lenses of a handful of local photographers comes an interesting look at a layer we often ignore, scratch up, or let sizzle in the sun.

“Skin” often plays a complicated role in our culture, but it makes for a beautiful subject in Method Art’s latest show, gathered from a juried selection of photographs submitted by dozens of photographers.

Included in the exhibition, open Tuesdays through Saturdays until Saturday, June 30, are different perspectives on skin by photographers Ryan Lusher, Jack Adams, Allison Luckock, Blair Phillips Friederich, Luis Salazar, and Luc Busquin, among others.

Tuesdays-Fridays, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.; Thu., May 3, 6-9 p.m.; Saturdays, 12-5 p.m.; Thursdays, 7-9 p.m.; Thu., June 28, 6-9 p.m. Starts: May 1. Continues through June 30, 2012
