We’ve always been keen on parades, choosing our streetside seats early and drinking coffee while the world falls into place around us. We like intricate floats, marching bands, horses, and sitting next to strangers with excited children. So count us when the Yavapai Nation presents the 38th annual Fort McDowell Fiesta Bowl Parade. The theme is “Spirit of the Southwest,” defined by more than 100 entries gliding the two-mile, Phoenician-packed route down Central Avenue from Minnezona to Montebello. NASCAR Sprint Cup Series star Tony Stewart serves as grand marshal. David Henrie from the Disney Channel’s Wizards of Waverly Place is honorary grand marshal.
