Time to stop and smell the lavender. The 11th Annual Lavender Festival is blooming once again at Red Rock Farms, and this year they have a full agenda of events ranging from the fragrant to the foodie.

Scheduled activities this year include cooking demonstrations and tastings, lavender growing demonstrations, and daily lavender topics such as beekeeping, watercolor painting, lavender grilling, lavender harvesting, and making lavender ice cream. In addition, visitors can help them selves to lavender-based goods, lavender plants, and fresh cut lavender from the harvest.

The Arizona Lavender Festival takes place in Concho just off the Arizona-180A Highway, Mile Marker 352. Festival hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, June 19 through 29.
