The choice of mascot says a lot about your team. Take the Arizona Rattlers, for instance. With a devastating plus-16 turnover margin earned from posting eight sacks, five fumble recoveries, and 15 interceptions in seven games, Arizona’s champion arena football squad lives up to its venomous namesake. Plus, the Rattlers have won six of their games by double digits — like our native snake, they kill their opponents.
And then there are the Iowa Barnstormers, named for a group of pilots who traveled around performing aerial stunts in the 1920s. With a name like that, there’s really only one thing you can expect them to do against our boys: crash and burn.
