We like the attitude put forth by the folks who work at Salt River Tubing & Recreation.
Inspired by a National Forest Service announcement proclaiming that America’s “iPod-listening, American-Idol-watching, X-box-playing generation increasingly shows a propensity toward sedentary life,” the guys and gals of Salt River Tubing have basically responded (in our words), “Well, if we’re going to get people outside, it might as well be superfun and totally weird.” For example, the next on-the-water bash is Mardi Gras Madness, and will feature river employees in New Orleans-inspired costumes, free beads (get ready to show your moobs, fellas), a Mardi Gras procession of floating inner tubes, and live Cajun music.
Ridiculous and awesome.
