$10,000

Know why shopping feels like a job? You’re stuck indoors with bad food and everything boring and bland. Play hooky from all that on Wednesday, December 14, when Get Your PHX co-hosts Phoestivus Market at Phoenix Public Market from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Unlike the Seinfeld universe’s alterna-holiday, this celebration employs the phoestive and ultra-local “ph” phoneme — but in the spirit of the original, there’ll still be a pole, Feats of Strength, and Airing of Grievances.

Grievances might be hard to come up with, though. Browsing unique handcrafted gifts al fresco, scoping meal ideas among the freshest of ingredients, and listening to merry live caroling, you’ll also have access to the finest in drinks and snacks, both indoors and outdoors, when weariness sets in.

Wed., Dec. 14, 4-8:30 p.m.; Wed., Dec. 21, 4-8:30 p.m., 2011
