Take a good look. Illustrator Kelsey Dake and Moscot have teamed up for a holiday trunk show at Biltmore UNION‘s glasses boutique, Framed Ewe, on Thursday, December 19, that’ll be worth a double-take.

Moscot’s an NYC-based eyewear company renowned for its vintage-inspired frames, which include cat eyes that look straight out of the 1960s, ’40s-style aviators, and a pair of thick-rim black spectacles modeled after the glasses worn by the company’s founder, Sol Moscot. Those styles are remade from the company’s archives (they’ve been in business since 1915), but more contemporary looks also are in the mix.
Dake, a self-proclaimed Moscot fan (and wearer), illustrated three of the brand’s storied frames, specifically Lemtosh, Miltzen, and Nebb, for Thursday’s party. All three will be on view during the party.
Framed Ewe will have the entire Moscot collection on display and up for grabs. A hand-pulled screen print of the Lemtosh illustration will come free with any Moscot purchase.
DJ Dana will spin records during the shopping event, which runs from 3 to 9 p.m. Drinks and snacks will be complimentary. There’s no charge to attend. For more info, visit the Facebook event page or call Framed Ewe at 602-955-1971.
