Sneaking into a hotel or a residential pool in the middle of the summer is pretty much a rite of passage in Arizona. Scrambling over the fence in your underwear as security chases you down can prove risky yet exhilarating. The risk of getting caught is half the fun, but paying trespassing tickets is not. Mark Taylor’s Summer of Love series invites pool-goers to check out swanky apartment pool parties around the Valley for free. Not only is it a nice way to cool down for an afternoon, but all the parties promise free food from Dos Gringos, drinks from Crescent Crown, and groove-able beats from DJ Paul. Each bash will crown one attendee the Uber Pool Partier.

Cool off at San Lagos pool, 5901 West Behrend Drive in Glendale on Saturday, June 22, from noon to 4 p.m. Visit www.mark-taylorpoolparty.com to register.

Will you step up to support New Times this year?

At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $15,500 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
