It probably won’t be a dark, stormy night rife with thugs and drama when James Sallis brings his latest noir novel to Poisoned Pen on April 3. But Driven, his follow-up to the acclaimed pulp novella Drive (which Nicolas Winding Refn adapted into the 2011 Ryan Gosling-starring flick of the same name), likely will contain enough bleak, stark, and violent material to compensate.
Sallis will sign his new book and discuss it on a panel with authors Keith Rawson and Brent Ghelfi, as well as Poisoned staffer Patrick Millikin.
