Steam-punking, as a way of life, is a collision of Edwardian-era fashion sense with anachronistic, mad-science experiments that has touched everything from wrist watches and laptops to reinterpreted vehicles. It’s a celebration of our species’ rigorous nature and our ability to interweave idiosyncrasy with robotics.

We’ll be front and center when ArtSpace on Sixth debuts its “Steam Punk Show” that features photography, found metal sculpture, paintings, and fashion inspired by the movement.

The show features the work of Davin Lavikka, Mhelanie Silao, Ed Schenck, Bob Price, and Sarah Welch.

Feb. 15-17; Feb. 19-28, 2010
