Leave it to geeks to wage war on each other over whether Star Trek or Star Wars reigns supreme — and leave it to geek icon George Takei to attempt to calm the waters. 
To Takei, there is one issue bigger than the opposing series’ special effects, the legitimacy of their space vehicles, or whether their stars, William Shatner and Carrie Fisher, are currently getting along. Yes, in his infinite wisdom, Takei knows there will always be Twilight. 

Twilight, says Takei, is “really, really bad,” and instead of bickering over whose spandex costume is tighter, geek energy should be combined and focused on fighting the real enemy: “vampires that sparkle, and moan, and… go to high school.”
