You know, it’s not every day that one gets to see a 7,000-year-old piece of art. The Mona Lisa is only 500 years old. King Tut’s tomb was created just 5,000 years ago. But 7,000 years ago? That’s before Stonehenge, bitches!
And you can see it here in town. No joke.
Actually, you can see 1,500 of them. They’re called petroglyphs and you can peek at them during the Guided Petroglyph Tour. During each Saturday in January, folks can take a quarter-mile hike to view the largest concentration of Native American petroglyphs in the Valley made between 500 and 7,000 years ago. And you don’t have to shell out for an expensive plane ticket to see them.
