Claudia Smith doesn’t understand why people mix up “stationery” and “stationary.” It’s a common mistake, she knows, but she also firmly believes that it shouldn’t happen.

The graphic designer owns Fig. 2 Studio in Bethesda, Maryland, where she creates a variety of posters, cards, and word-based eye candy, including the image above, which she hopes will cure any confusion.
