The oft-documented collegiate experience has given the world quotable comedies including Animal House and Legally Blonde. While they’ve inspired many a Belushi fan to emulate a zit and fair -haired coquettes to bend and snap, not many frat row fiends can say they were the source material for a bankable blockbuster.
But comedian Bert Kreischer is a noted exception. After Rolling Stone dubbed Kreischer the “top partier” at Florida State while he was in his sixth year of undergrad, Hollywood took notice, and the result was gross-out comedy National Lampoon’s Van Wilder.
While his college days are far behind him, Kreischer still takes things to extremes with his Travel Channel show Bert the Conqueror, when he isn’t touring clubs with his stand-up routine.
