What comes to mind when you hear the names Nic Roldan and Tommy Biddle Jr.? Nothing? How about the Molina Cup? Still blank? Hmm. How about the word “Marco”?
That’s right: Polo! Believe it or not, this sport of kings and people who are rich as kings is an actual, factual thing, and WestWorld of Scottsdale, 16601 North Pima Road, is bringing it to the masses Saturday, October 20. During the second annual Polo Party, those guys we mentioned before (who happen to be two of the sport’s biggest names) and others will battle for horse-riding-while-swinging-a-croquet-mallet supremacy and control of the coveted Molina Cup in three matches: USA vs. Columbia at 11 a.m., Harvard University vs. Work to Ride at 1 p.m., and Bel Air Polo Club vs. The Hamptons at 3 p.m. Visitors will also get a sneak preview of next year’s Barrett-Jackson auto collection.
