The challenges facing local news organizations are very real. That's why reader support matters more than ever. If you believe independent journalism matters, make a contribution today and help us reach our summer fundraising goal of $15,000 by August 9.
Jim Gaffigan turned United States citizens into a bunch of singing fools. After his hilarious Beyond the Pale Comedy Central Special, scads of folks found themselves shamelessly singing, “Hot pocke-e-ets!” in a high-pitched, breathy voice. We say any comedian who can inspire people to forgo their pride in such a way is a real gem. Not to mention the guy has a long television career with frequent guest spots on David Letterman, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, and roles on sitcoms like The Ellen Show, That ’70s Show, and Ed. So you’re not going to want to miss what this SPF 80-wearing man has up his sleeve during his performance at Comerica Theatre (formerly Dodge Theatre).
