Calling all card sharks: Think you can maintain that rock-solid poker face while facing the flop against local celebrities like Grant Hill and Danica Patrick? It’s not as easy as pros like Eoghan O’Dea and Matt Giannetti make it look on TV, as you’ll learn firsthand when participating in the annual Kards for Kids Charity Poker Tournament and Casino Night.
Hosted by former Phoenix Coyotes captain Jeremy Roenick, the Vegas-style competition (which benefits local at-risk youth charities) will be chock full of poker- playing celebs, including model Cathy Rankin, Fox Sports anchor Amanda Pflugrad, and rapper Young MC. Up for grabs is $1,500 Seat into this year’s World Series of Poker, as well as trips to Hawaii, autographed memorabilia, and other goodies. The dice will bounce and the roulette wheel will spin, while other casino games, including blackjack and craps, will be available for play.
