Fat Albert and the Junkyard Gang’s improvised instrument jams were always the bomb, and their spirit of ingenuity will be taken to new heights during the Epic Maker Instrumental Challenge on Saturday, November 22.
DIY music org Oh My Ears throws down the gauntlet for musical innovation by having contestants create new, repurposed, or improved versions of instruments from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and then present their creations from 5 to 9 p.m.
The Epic Maker Instrumental Challenge is at TechShop Chandler, 249 East Chicago Street. Entry is $12 for contestants and $5 for spectators. For more info, visit www.ohmyears.com.
