It’s one of those weeks in the Cactus League. No marquee affairs like Manny and the Dodgers invading HoHoKam to take on the Cubs. No blood-feud rivalry games. Split-squad affairs everywhere you look. Blecch. It’s time to tune out the match-ups and check out a hot new park: Camelback Ranch at 10710 West Camelback Road in Glendale.
Camelback Ranch, home of the Dodgers and Chicago White Sox, seats 10,000, with room for 3,000 more on the grassy outfield knolls. It features a fish-filled lake, a sunken playing field, an orange grove, and practice fields that mimic the exact dimensions of Dodger Stadium and Chicago’s U.S. Cellular Field.
