A recent study by finance website Bundle found that Scottsdale residents are some serious shopaholics, spending more money on average per month than the fashion-obsessed in New York and Los Angeles. The result of all that dough spent? Gaggles of women prancing around like Absolutely Fabulous duo Eddie and Patsy — thinking they’re ridiculous get-ups are hot shit.
See another side of Scottsdale’s typical glitz during Picket Fences, a monthly shopping event at that’s more rustic couture than glittery cleavage. Jam hosts the get-together bringing in local artists, crafters, and shop owners, including Purple Lion Gifts and Crudo, who will sell everything from cheeses and chocolates to home decor and jewelry.
Shop around from 7 to 9 p.m. jAdmission is free. The event continues the first Thursday of every month through April.
