Name: John Tuomisto-Bell, owner/operator of Tuomisto Bell Studio Foundry
Age: Currently 47; I got this tattoo in 2004.
My Arm Piece: My son Race drew this when he was 4 (he is 11 now). We were making treasure maps on old brown paper grocery bags — you know where you crumple the paper and burn the edges to make it look old.
He drew this on the map on where you start to look for the treasure. The original picture was about two inches high and I scanned the map and copied the pic into Photoshop.

I took the picture to Lady Luck Tattoo in Phoenix where Heather Alvin put it on my inside forearm (I had it mirrored so I have it on the inside of each arm.) She really maintained the original character of the drawing.
Next tattoo? I am always on the lookout for my next one. A lot of mine are chronological and have significant meaning relating to my life. I like that I can look at one tattoo and remember that it relates to my son, my daughter or my wife at a particular time. So I think my next tattoo will relate again to a point in my life that has this meaning … I will just know when it is the right time and tattoo.
