If you need a break (or a snack) during Scottsdale Fashion week, you’re in luck — La Gran Fiesta, a four-day celebration of Hispanic food, music, and dancing, will be just down the street.

The event kicks off at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts with Flamenco dancing from Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba, followed by salsa band Spanish Harlem Orchestra on Friday, and some tunes from Broadway singer Chita Rivera on Saturday.

More event details after the jump …

The weekend ushers in a free two-day festival (on Saturday and Sunday) at the Scottsdale Civic Center with food, drinks, arts-and-crafts, and live Latin music, including the Arizona Opera performing music from “Carmen.” The festival runs from noon to 6 p.m. on both days.
