It’s a well-known fact that overly theatrical world of professional wrestling is scripted and the winners of matches are pre-determined. But despite what you may think, it’s not completely fake. Just ask the superstars of World Wrestling Entertainment, who occasionally employ real blows against their foes when doing battle in the ring. Then there are ladder matches, where competitors often endure 15-foot-high plunges to the canvas with little or no protection while pursuing a prize hanging over the squared circle.

Such will be the scene during the WWE’s Money in the Bank event, which takes place at US Airways Center, 201 East Jefferson Street, on Sunday, July 15. Two ladder matches will take place during the pay-per-view extravaganza, which will feature superstars like John Cena, Chris Jericho, and Big Show attempting to grab a briefcase above the ring containing a contract for a guaranteed world title shot.

Elsewhere on the card, the self-proclaimed “Best in the World” CM Punk defends his WWE Championship against “The Submission Specialist” Daniel Bryan.
