When there’s a weekly night at your favorite bar, it’s tough to avoid. But one weekday weekly leads to another and another and before you know it, you’ve got a mad case of the shakes. Then comes the time when you’re begging for forgiveness from a higher power and swearing off booze forever.
To avoid the alcoholic moniker, try hitting a weekday event that happens every month, like, say, Filet of Soul at Chez Nous. The event features vintage soul and funk tunes by DJs Queen Celine and Funkfinger every second Wednesday, and with such a sporadic schedule, you’ll easily avoid the alcoholic label and sit comfortably in the land of “drinking problem.”
Second Wednesday of every month, 9 p.m., 2008
