$10,000

You think you know Phoenix until you see it through Jason Hill’s eyes: the Luhrs Tower, the Westward Ho, the Rosson House, and especially the artist’s color-saturated image of the Phoenix Financial Center all bring our fair city into brighter, sharper contrast. Hill’s vibrant, handcrafted prints combine photography and paint to create images of some of the most iconic buildings in town, and his latest series of handcrafted prints, “Icons of Phoenix,” premières in conjunction with Art Detour 21. Each new piece will be available in hand-printed, signed, and numbered editions of five.

Fri., March 6, 7 p.m., 2009
