Actress Lauren Bacall has died. She had a massive stroke on Tuesday, August 12, in New York City, according to TMZ. She was 89.
The Golden Age of Hollywood film star was known for her husky voice and “The Look,” Bacall’s way of posing for stills in which she’d put her chin to her chest and look up toward the camera.

Bacall, who won an honorary Academy Award in 2009, appeared in more than 60 movies over the course of her career. Among her credits were The Big Sleep, Key Largo, and To Have and Have Not, all of which featured her opposite her husband, Humphrey Bogart. She and Bogart were married from 1945 until his death in 1957. They had two children.
She married actor Jason Robards in 1961, and the couple divorced in 1969, having one child.
She also starred in How to Marry a Millionaire with Marilyn Monroe and Designing Woman with Gregory Peck.
Her most recent role was that of Evelyn on Family Guy. She voiced the character for one episode.
