Independent Journalism in Phoenix Needs You
We need to raise $15,000 by August 9 to support the reporting our community depends on. Reader support keeps us independent and is playing a larger role in funding local journalism and shaping what comes next. If you believe independent local journalism matters, make a contribution today.
Although citrus season has come and gone, one of the most exciting season for picking your own produce is just starting. That’s right, peach season is back, and Schnepf Farms is kicking off the juicy affair with a Peach Festival on Saturday, May 10.
As if in a scene from Forrest Gump, you can try out peach pie, peach jam, peach cinnamon buns, peach cookies, peach salsa, peach cobbler, and pretty much any other peachy concoction you might dream up. Or you can pick your own peaches fresh from the orchards and test out some creations of your own at home. The event will also feature live music, train rides, carousel rides, and more.
The Schnepf Farms Peach Festival at 24810 South Rittenhouse Road in Queen Creek runs May 10, 11, 17, and 18 from 7:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. with free admission. For more information, visit www.schnepffarms.com or call 480-987-3100.
