The Full Monty done at a dinner theater? Cue some snarky “meat” jokes, stat.
Such will be the situation when the grin and bare it (all) musical nominated for nine Tony Awards and based on the 1997 hit British film is staged at Arizona Broadway Theatre, where generous amounts of male flesh mixes with food, drink, and fun in a state-of-the-art, see-everything (yeah, everything) auditorium.
For those who didn’t catch the Oscar nominated comedy flick or its Broadway interpretation, here’s the skinny: A group of British steel workers are laid off and in need of cash. In desperation, they form a male striptease act, a la Chippendales, where they dare to go “the full monty” — i.e., totally nude.
