After Jeff Hardy left the one-ring circus of World Wrestling Entertainment in 2009, most fans considered the daredevil grappler to be a has-been whose best days were firmly in the rearview. He was beset by allegations of substance abuse, mired in a legal battle over charges of drug possession, and racked with injuries after years of high-risk maneuvers.
To the surprise of many, Hardy managed to rebound from all the drama and became one of the top superstars for Total Nonstop Action, WWE’s chief competitor. The 35-year-old will attempt to complete his redemption during the aptly named Bound For Glory, TNA’s biggest event of the year on Sunday, October 14, at Grand Canyon University Arena, 3300 West Camelback Road.
Hardy will face TNA world heavyweight champion Austin Aries for the strap during the event, which will be broadcast on pay-per-view and feature Bobby Roode versus James Storm and the masked thugs of villainous stable Aces and Eights wreaking havoc.
