Now that we’re finally at the end of the first month of the year, things seem to be settling into place. Frankly, it’s gotten boring. We live for the buzz of the holidays and joyous New Year celebrations. Luckily, our Asian brethren know what’s up with its Lunar New Year Tết Festival.

The annual Vietnamese Tết Festival falls on the same day as the Chinese Lunar New Year (on February 3 this year), but Mesa’s Mekong Plaza is hosting the shindig this weekend. Traditional Vietnamese arts and crafts, music, and food will be featured. There will also be appearances by musical guest Khánh Hoàng and SBTN TV comedian Thiện Thành.

Sat., Jan. 29, 11 a.m.-11 p.m.; Sun., Jan. 30, 11 a.m.-6 p.m., 2011
