Simple decisions like whether to sleep an extra five minutes or eat that second cupcake are pretty insignificant in the big picture – or are they? That depends on how you feel about being late to work or gaining back the extra five pounds you just lost.

Local artists Rebecca Bergman and Christine Cassano look at the bigger picture in their joint art show, “Ephemeral Moments and Systematic Tides.” Bergman paints her canvases with vibrant tones, while Cassano casts found objects into concrete. Through their very distinct styles and mediums, both artists engage the viewer in the conversation about the way in which transient moments give way to the major shifts in our lives.

25% of the proceeds from art sales during this show will be donated to the Icehouse in downtown Phoenix.
