When we recently attended a ballgame between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Chicago Cubs at Chase Field, we were brutally reminded about how obnoxious Cubby fans truly are. The way they carried on, even when their team was behind. So frustrating. Maybe instead of backing a perennial loser, Cubs fans could get on board with a team that might not let them down in the end. Here’s how: the Arizona Rookie League, which features the minor-league affiliates of nine teams, including the Milwaukee Brewers, Seattle Mariners, and, yes, the Cubs.
There are several games slated for Sunday, August 17, including a 7 p.m. match-up between the junior Cubs and Mariners. Don’t forget your glove, because you never know when a Cubs pitcher might hurl a fastball into the crowd again. (YouTube Julio Castillo. You’ll see what we mean.)
